How the people you allow to be in your life can either make you or break you.
Have you ever noticed that some people can just suck the energy right out of you? Do you have people in your life that make getting through the day like a full time job; seemingly robbing you of your ability to get the things done that were really important to you because you had to deal with their drama? Is it hard for you to find someone that you can trust and count on when you need help with something in your life?
This is a problem we have all experienced and if we are not careful, it could have long lasting effects that can keep us from having the life that we deserve. By being around people who have a lot of negativity in their lives or who are just always taking and never giving, you can very easily fall into a routine that never allows you to reach your full potential.
The problem sneaks up on us and often goes unnoticed because the negative people in our life a lot of times are friends and family members. We feel obligated to help out or we just have gotten used to the situation plus even if we did notice the problem we can’t just get rid of our friends and family.
Then there is the issue of trying to find someone to mentor and guide you in the right direction. Many of us are so used to having to take care of our self, that we have never learned how to put together a team of people around us to help achieve the goals that we have set out for ourselves.
Your outlook upon life, your estimate of yourself, your estimate of your value are largely colored by your environment. Your whole career will be modified, shaped, molded by your surroundings, by the character of the people with whom you come in contact every day...
Orison Swett Marden
(1850-1924) American author and founder of Success magazine.
When you surround yourself with people that have qualities like success, imagination and determination, you will be giving yourself the best opportunity for success in your own life. Not only will you be able to tap into the methods that they used to gain success but you will also be inspired directly by their words of encouragement as well as indirectly by the added confidence you will have just knowing that you have a great ally if needed.
Just think how much better you would feel if lets say you wanted to open a new restaurant and your best friends were a chef and a head waiter. Your chances for success just went through the roof.
You can have virtually anything you want if you surround yourself with the right people. All successful people have been known to associate themselves with other people of success. Just choose the direction you want to go in and then start to hang out with the people who have already paved the way before you.
Have you ever noticed that?
- Healthy people hang out with other healthy people.
- Wealthy people hang out with other wealthy people.
- Famous people hang out with other famous people.
- Happy people hang out with other happy people.
Who do you hang out with?
The saying goes “A person is judged by the company they keep.” Ask yourself if the people in your life are bringing you closer to happiness, or further away because happiness is what is all comes down to. History is filled with lots of people of fame and fortune who led very unhappy lives largely because of the people they allowed to be in their life.
I promise you, if you choose your friends wisely you will have success in any area that you decide to follow plus by eliminating all the negativity in your life you will gain a peace and happiness like never before. Imagine your life with a whole network of people where whatever you needed, someone had the answers and help to make it a reality.
Now think how much easier your life can be if you could introduce the negative people surrounding you to the same type of help and network. The burden would no longer be on you to deal with their drama. You could help them and help yourself at the exact same time very easily; enjoying a life of peace plus knowing you did something great for them as well.
That’s an interesting concept. The “Discover the Power” community was developed so people would be able to receive help in areas that they were trying to strengthen in their own life while also offering help to others in their main areas of expertise. The added dynamic is the fact that the body of knowledge is basically in a talent pool where as it is not just a pairing off give and take situation.
The people who are helping you develop don’t necessarily have to be the people you are offering help to. Everyone has something to offer and no skill is weighted higher than another. The only thing that matters is participation and your growth comes not only from what you take out of the community talent pool but also what you put back into it.
That’s the difference with “Discover the Power” and you will feel its effects on your life. Not only will you be gaining valuable knowledge and feedback from the group to help you achieve success but you will also get an amazing feeling of accomplishment when someone that you have mentored gets recognized for their success. You will see that, “Discover the Power” rewards not only the people who accomplish a goal but also the people who helped make that goal a reality get noticed as well.
If you have a goal that you think you need some help accomplishing, then “Discover the Power” is for you. If you have something to offer in the way of specialized knowledge, skills or even unique experiences then “Discover the Power” needs you. There are people waiting to help you and people waiting to be helped. Now is the time to go out and make things happen.
In Napoleon Hill’s book “Think and Grow Rich” he did research on all of the most successful people in history and came to the conclusion that no one has ever done it alone. Everyone, no matter how great, needed help form others in one way or another. Henry Ford did not become successful until he met Thomas Edison and do you know what, the same thing can happen to you too.
Go out now and make it happen. Whether your goals are big or small find the help you need and make the world a better place. Then help others do the same thing and be part of that dream as well. You just might be the missing ingredient that builds something amazing.
Can you be the next Henry Ford? Who knows? When you join the “Discover the Power” community and find the next Thomas Edison, you just might find yourself doing the stuff that history is made of.
